I am passionate
about creating customized sessions for my clients to maximize the
benefits of bodywork and massage. Sessions could include Activated
Isolated Stretching, Neuromuscular Therapy, cupping, hot stone
massage, or deep tissue massage. It depends on the goals and
expectations of the individual.
Megan Risinger is a Licensed and Board Certified Massage Therapist,
specializing in Neuromuscular Therapy, TMJ Dysfunction, and Sports
Massage. Graduated from Colorado Institute of Massage Therapy
(CIMT) in 2011. Holding certification with National Certification of
Bodywork and Massage Professionals (NCBTMB) and membership with
Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals, Commitment to
furthering knowledge of bodywork and learning new techniques to pass
on to my clients in the pursuit of chronic and acute pain relief is
the main priority.
I decided to get
into bodywork because it felt like a natural fit. I
remember I was the only one of my siblings that didn’t mind giving
my mom a footrub or walk on my dads back-it was comfortable and I
enjoyed making my parents feel better. That definitely factored into
my ideas after graduating from high school and spending some time in
college, when I was deciding what I was passionate about and wanted
to pursue as a career.
I started my massage
career in 2011 working in multiple enviornments. Starting off
working with chiropracters, salons, and small independent businesses,
in 2015 moving into working for myself independently as well as
getting involved with an annual running event TransRockis Run where
working with athletes became a big passion. I have continued to
explore different modalities that would benefit my clients and feel
that everyone needs massage. Its not simply a session to relax and
unwind, which is absolutely a benefit! There is such a therapeutic
value to soft tissue work. Issues that stem from dental pain,
repetitive work strain, surgical procedures and so many more can be
addressed using a variety of modalities. Life is hard enough, I just
want to help my clients make it just a bit easier.
Continuing Education includes: Advanced Cupping Techniques Activated Isolated Stretching Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) Hip Dysfunction TMJ Dydsfunction
